Smoky Sunset

When creating a new recipe, it's essential to consider that with millions of recipes out there, it's hard to be completely original. However, despite finding a similar version through a Google search, we decided to continue and share our take on this refreshing drink.
Here, we present two variations of the Smoky Sunset—one is a short drink perfect for sipping on a warm day, especially as an aperitif, while the other is a long drink ideal for cooling off in the summer. The original version features grapefruit juice, while the second version substitutes grapefruit juice with grapefruit tonic water for a more refreshing twist.
Ingredients (for one)
45 ml Don Julio Añejo tequila
20 ml Mezcal
15 ml Aperol
20 ml Grapefruit juice (for short version)
Lime wedge (for garnish)
125ml Grapefruit tonic water (for long version)
How to do it
In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, mezcal, Aperol, and grapefruit juice. (If making a long drink using tonic water, omit the grapefruit juice at this stage.)
Add ice, shake vigorously, and pour over a large ice cube.
For a long drink, optionally top with the grapefruit tonic water.
